The compute service allows you to obtain and configure compute capacity according to business demand. When using it, there are no waiting or lead times. You can create or scale compute instances up and down in seconds via the web dashboard or APIs. You have complete control over your virtual machines, including root and console access. You can choose from a list of pre-configured operating system images (Linux and Windows), or to upload your own using the imaging service. .

We provide pre-configured operating system images to make it easier for you to get started on the cloud. We also allow you to upload your own images with your preferred operating system, tools and applications pre-installed. Images can be used as templates when creating compute instances.

Block Storage

The block storage service provides persistent storage volumes to compute instances on the Nerve Digital Cloud. When using it, there are no waiting or lead times. You can create or scale volumes up and down in seconds via the web dashboard or APIs. Volumes are designed to be highly available and reliable. At no additional cost to you, data is replicated automatically within the region on multiple storage servers, increasing data durability and fault tolerance. Block storage is suitable for workloads that require strong consistency, such as file systems and databases. They are presented to the operating system as a disk volume that can be formatted with your preferred file system or used as a raw block device. It also allows you to snapshot volumes to create point-in-time images of your volumes.

Object Storage

The ideal service to store data for websites, web applications, mobile applications, IoT sensors, and devices. Object storage can also be used for data archival, data lakes, backups and disaster recovery. All object storage operations are done via a modern and easy to use REST API.

Network

NDCP Cloud gives you complete control over your virtual private cloud network, allowing you to implement an optimal network architecture to suit your application's needs.

Load Balancer

The load balancer service allows you to scale out and achieve better fault tolerance for your cloud-hosted applications. It can operate as an HTTP application load balancer (layer 7) or a network load balancer for TCP and UDP traffic (layer 4).

Our Cloud orchestration allows you to deploy applications and infrastructure using a simple template language that describes the required resources and their relationship. It also enables you to maintain availability and scale applications automatically according to demand, optimising performance and costs. The orchestration service manages the life-cycle of application stacks on your behalf. When a template is modified, the service orchestrates the required changes to the infrastructure and software configuration in the appropriate order. Templates can be managed like code and stored on your preferred version control system. The service can integrate easily with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt. It can run these configuration management systems in standalone mode, or be used to present compute instances back to them for software configuration.

Our user-friendly web dashboard and simple API calls make it fast to deploy and easy to customise, backup and restore. Get a database up and running in minutes. Manage users and grant permissions with ease at any time. Scale up or down as you need, and only pay for what you use. We’ve made it simpler to create database replicas by automating the setup, promotion and ongoing replication of data, increasing resiliency and availability. Supported DB engines are as follow

Cloud Security

NDCP Cloud is protected at the perimeter and at different layers with automated protection techniques and alarming. Cloud Security limits the impact of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks by automatically flagging excessive incoming traffic (so called "volumetric attacks") and blocking the sources of those attacks. This is applied to Layer 3 (IP) and Layer 4 (TCP and UDP) network protocols, but does not inspect content within packets to identify if this is a known attack or provide finer grained awareness of attacks. All traffic which is directed towards resources hosted by NDCP Cloud from the Internet is passed through this protection layer, it does not need to be activated specifically for your account or resources.
